Man Sentenced In Drug Conspiracy Case

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for dealing drugs in North Dakota and Minnesota.

Carl Renecker was charged in federal court with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance. Authorities say he and others tried to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine.

Renecker was one of five people charged in the case and the last one to be sentenced. His attorney recommended a 12-year sentence.

U.S. District Judge Ralph Erickson ordered Renecker to serve his time in Rochester, Minn., so he can tend to serious health issues.
